Who Should Attend?

Whether you are currently free of menopause symptoms or well into experiencing them, AWCM is for every woman wanting to know more about this significant time in her life. AWCM will provide a forum for open discussions and presentations about every aspect of menopause and providing tips on improving your quality of life through this transition.

What will be Discussed?

AWCM will present information on the following:

The ABC’s of hormones – a discussion about hormones and glandular function.

Social changes, hormonal changes and symptoms through the age ranges of: 35-45, 45-55, and Freedom 55+.

The management of menopause symptoms through lifestyle (nutrition, diet, exercise), pharmaceutical supplements and prescriptions.

Health beyond menopause: a discussion on women’s issues related to menopause including osteoporosis, breast cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and the prevention of these diseases.

Cultural background: how different cultures view menopause within the context of our life stages. (Asian, Indian, Indigenous, etc.)

Information is power. Give yourself the opportunity to talk openly, share your journey and learn new strategies and tools for menopause – within a community of women who understand.

The Program

The Advancing Women Through Menopause Program

Registered delegates will finalize their registration and pick up conference materials at the Welcome Reception on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 7:00 pm. Meet with other women and take in the trade show of latest news, products and services for women and their wellbeing and attend the short program.

The formal part of the AWCM program will begin on Friday, September 20, 2019 with registration at 8:00 am (for those not registered the night before), and plenary sessions from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. The day includes coffee breaks and lunch.

ATTEND: Join us as a participant and learn the latest news, research and information for women in all stages of menopause. Share your experiences and surround yourself with women who understand. Meet the leading health care practitioners, companies and organizations that can help you manage your health and well being. Get a group of your friends together or bring your work associates. Grandmothers, mothers and daughters can attend together to complete the circle of wisdom. This will be a gathering of women not to be missed!
