In Ontario, women attending AWC EAST 2017 can apply for the following:
AWC is now recognized by the Ontario Province as a training program eligible for delegates to receive funding!
For a producer:
An individual’s participation may be eligible under the producer stream of cost-shared funding assistance through Growing Forward 2 (GF2), should the applicant meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the program guide. Please see page 14 of the GF2 Producer program guide.
For a processor:
The last intake for cost-share funding assistance under the processor stream closed November 3, 2016 and applications to this stream are no longer being accepted by the ministry. If a processor has already been approved for funding to attend the Advancing Women’s conference, the ministry will provide the approved cost-shared funding assistance amount towards the eligible expense. However, if attendance at the conference was not identified in the approved application, the ministry is unable to deem those costs as eligible under the project.

The GF2 Growing Competitiveness – Next Generation program provides funding for individual skill development and professional consulting services that enhance business management, including assessment, analysis, financial planning, risk management, marketing and leadership. This training program is registered with Saskatchewan Agriculture’s Farm Business Development Initiative (FBDI) which is part of the Federal-Provincial Growing Forward 2 suite of agricultural programs.
